Advanced Seminar Announced - June 4

The Professional Development team at PMI-SAC has just announced an upcoming one-day advanced seminar to be held June 4th, 2012 entitled 'Expert Seminar on Agile Leadership with Mike Griffiths'.

New 'Articles' Section

The Chapter web site has recently unveiled a new section for articles related to project and program management.

Listed on the site under 'Services' and 'Articles', the section has a current listing of articles contributed by industry professionals and Chapter members alike.

Remember that reading articles related to the profession can contribute to your certification - for PMPs, under Category C 'Self-Directed Learning' for instance.

Leadership Continuum - Next Workshop Announced

The next workshop in the Leadership Continuum has been announced, scheduled for April 25th 2012 at 5:00pm at Right Management's offices, Suite 1901 - 500 4th Avenue SW.

Entitled "Leading Others - First 90 Days", the topic of the workshop is "Whether you are a first time supervisor, being promoted to a new leadership position, or entering a new leadership role in a new organization, we will discuss tools and strategies for success."

Next PMP/CAPM Workshop May 7

The Spring 2012 PMP/CAPM Examination Prep Workshop begins May 7 2012 at Mount Royal University. Provided as part of MRU's Continuing Education program in conjunction with PMI Southern Alberta Chapter, this workshop is an excellent study program for those contemplating writing their exams later this year.

2012 Annual Golf Classic Announced

Join us for the 2nd Annual PMI SAC Golf Classic. Come join a great day out at a private course with your fellow PMI members. With over $5000 in prizes, 18 holes of golf, buffet breakfast, steak dinner; driving range, PMI sponsors, and PMI members; you will enjoy a great day and support your local chapter.

It will be held on Wed June 6; 9am shotgun start. Registration & breakfast will be 7-9am. This event is worth 1 PDU towards your certification.

Fourth EPC Roundtable, May 24th

PMI Southern Alberta Chapter will conduct the fourth face to face EPC Roundtable on May 24 , 2012 from  8:30am - 1:00pm in Calgary – breakfast and lunch will be included. There is no charge to attend the session.  The session will be held at Fireworks Cooperative on 1008 14 St SE Calgary.   Parking at this location is free.
